Farm history & our family<\/h1>

Enjoy a holiday with friends on the Maurachgut Organic Farm in Bad Hofgastein<\/h2><\/div><\/div>

We run our traditional organic mountain farm<\/strong>, the Maurachgut<\/a> in Bad Hofgastein in Salzburger Land, with lots of love and dedication. The history of our farm dates back to 1350<\/b>. Since the beginning of the 20th century it's been owned by our family \u2013 now already in the fourth generation<\/b>. Since 2014 my husband Werner und I, Rosi, run the fram. My parents, Kathi and Jakob, still help us with the many tasks on the farm. We have two children, who enjoy the advantages of growing up on the farm. We're happy for our guests to take part in life on our farm:<\/strong> accompany us working in the stables and in the fields, get to know the farm animals and learn all about unspoilt nature.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Living & working in harmony with nature<\/h4><\/div><\/div>

Sustainability is very important to us <\/b>\u2013 To protect the environment we derive our warmth and electricity from the sun (via photovoltaics) and from our own forest. Our farm has been a certified organic agricultural farm <\/strong>since 1993. The aim of organic agriculture is to produce natural food whilst considering and protecting natural resources such as water and land. Our focus is on sustaining a variety of plants and animals, plus humane husbandry. Water in the house and on the farm comes from our own spring.<\/strong> Our organic mountain farm has been a member property of Farm Holidays<\/strong> (awarded 4 flowers) and a certified Green Care Auszeithof <\/strong>since 2018.<\/p><\/div><\/div>
